Gray Scale--This scale was very helpful once I started drawing the objects and practicing using value. However, it was more challenging to create than I expected. It helps to play around with the charcoal before creating the scale.
This is my final composition. I found it more challenging having the light source on the right side of the objects.
This is the final drawing. Shading the background to a 5 on the value scale to begin was interesting. I think it gave a lot more depth to the drawing and made the objects look more natural.
